Excellent design, light weight and good quality of corrugated pipe. Double wall corrugated pipe machines produce 500mm pipe which is used in municipal engineering, residential, district underground sewage drainage etc.
Volcano Flexi Tech Industries offers a 500mm ID Double Wall Corrugator Machine designed for manufacturing large-diameter corrugated plastic pipes using suitable materials such as PP, PE, HDPE and recycled plastics. The machine is suitable for applications requiring dependable pipe strength, dimensional consistency and efficient production for underground infrastructure and drainage projects.
Large-Diameter Pipe Manufacturing: Designed for producing double-wall corrugated pipes ranging from 180 mm to 500 mm internal diameter, catering to demanding drainage and underground piping requirements.
Precision Die Head Design: Engineered to support controlled material distribution between the inner and outer pipe walls, helping achieve the required pipe profile and dimensional accuracy.
Efficient Corrugator System: Precision-engineered cavity blocks help form uniform corrugations, while adjustable machine positioning supports production setup requirements.
Centralised Lubrication: A controlled lubrication system helps reduce friction between moving components and supports smooth machine operation.
Integrated Cooling Arrangements: Built-in cooling channels and additional air blowers help control temperature, improve pipe formation and support surface finish.
Complete Production Line Integration: The plant incorporates extrusion, die head, corrugator, cooling, pulling and cutting systems to facilitate coordinated pipe manufacturing.

Send an enquiryLarge DWC pipe is usually sold by ring-stiffness class, such as SN4 or SN8. In India, structured-wall drainage pipe falls under IS 16098; export markets use EN 13476 or ISO 21138. The class you reach depends on resin, wall thickness and corrugation profile, so we design the mould profile around the standard and class you plan to sell.
Three things make up most of the investment at 180–500 mm:
You can keep the starting cost down by beginning with your best-selling diameters and adding mould sets later.
DWC pipe weighs a fraction of a concrete pipe of the same bore, so it can be laid with light equipment. It also comes in 6 m lengths, which means fewer joints. Sewer gases corrode concrete but not polyolefin pipe. The pipe also flexes with ground settlement instead of cracking.
Our drainage-range design uses direct mould cooling: chilled water flows through each mould block, so the outer corrugation sets faster and the line can run quicker. Each block also has its own temperature control, which keeps the outer profile and inner surface consistent along the whole run.
Use a pipe-grade HDPE that your resin supplier recommends for structured-wall pipe. If the pipe will be stored or laid in sunlight, add UV-stabilised or carbon-black masterbatch to the outer wall. Recycled material can be blended in where your target standard allows it. Share your grade and we will set the temperature profile to match.
Yes. Within its 180–500 mm range, a change of mould set lets the same machine make sewer, stormwater and large cable-duct pipe. For smaller cable conduit from 40 to 250 mm, our vacuum DWC models on the Double Wall Corrugator Machine page are a better fit.
The 1200 mm centre height, with forward/backward and up/down adjustment, lets the operator line up the mould track exactly with the die head. Good alignment keeps the melt centred, so the inner and outer walls come out evenly thick all the way round. It also makes start-up and mould changes quicker.
Yes. The same line runs PP with a different temperature profile. PP gives higher stiffness for the same weight and handles warmer effluent, which suits higher-SN sewer pipe. HDPE is tougher at low temperatures and more forgiving during installation. Offering both lets you bid for more tenders.
In practice, yes. A 6 m length of 500 mm pipe is too bulky to handle by hand at line speed. The tilting unit takes each cut length and rolls it onto the stacking area, so the line keeps running without operators lifting pipe.
A complete line can include:

In large-diameter DWC, the die head and cavity blocks decide pipe quality. Volcano designs and manufactures both in-house in Ahmedabad. That means new mould sets and profile corrections come from the same team that built your line.
It is also used for:
Partly. The mould fixes the corrugation profile. You can still raise wall thickness, and with it stiffness, by increasing extruder output against line speed. For a big jump in class, a deeper profile and a different mould set may be needed.
The line is configured for belling at 6 m lengths. Each length is formed with a socket end, so the next pipe pushes in and seals with a rubber (EPDM) ring. This gives a quick, leak-tight joint without welding.
